Disconnected

Today I took the plunge. I no longer have a landline phone, only cell phone and Skype. I got non-ADSL broadband five months ago and should really have cancelled my landline back then, but it’s a bit scary and time flies. No more $200 per year that is of no use.

The cancellation process was incredibly smooth: call customer service, queue for 10 minutes, tell the phone number and name and when it should stop working, and that’s it. Quite far from the proccess Russell Beattie had to go through in order to recharge a pre-paid account, and to cancel a landline phone seems like it’s supposed to be a bit harder.
