Three weeks later...

I have now been in London for a little more than three weeks, but it feels like much less. I wish there was something profound I could write, something to capture how it feels to move to another country, to move from small to big city. But I haven’t had any big revelations or experienced any culture clashes. It was a bit strenuous the day I left, but other than that it’s same old, same old.

I started working the day after I arrived here so the week days are mostly concerned with work related stuff. It is both fun and hard work to get into a new job and company, but since it comes quite close to my last job there are many similarities. The warm weather makes it somewhat uncomfortable to work at times (last week the power cut six times due to extra air con units) but it’s managable.

A lot of time and effort has gone to search for a flat to let. But that’s taken care of know, and I’m moving in a week from now. More on that later.

During the weekends I have looked for a place to live, started exploring London, hung out, and relaxed. Today I went to IKEA :-)

All in all I’m glad I’m here and am looking forward to move into my own flat, to explore the city even more and to have the time to do more stuff.
