Green

Today I managed to get Green belt in ju-jitsu/ju-jutsu kai. They revised the system in April and I’ve been quite sick a few times since then, but the latter half of this week I’ve trained quite much and studied the theory. It just feels so nice to get a new belt, on schedule even (one year since last time). There were a few mistakes and a few techniques I have problems with, but all things considered, it went well. Idleness, I embrace thee.

Update

“Update” most be the absolutely most innovative title ever. It really inspires further reading, and sets the expectations high. Or not :-)

Anyhow, I’ve been quite busy lately and was starting to get low on energy. But in the last week spring has returned, and daylight saving time has been corrected (DST must be among the 100 worst inventions ever) and the resulting light has been good to me.

I spent last weekend ju-jitsuing at a camp in Linköping (Fri-Mon). It was really interesting, fun, and tiring. I also got the opportunity to visit some relatives, which was super nice and long over due. Being a netaddict you could expect it would be at least a bit hard to not touch a computer for four days, but I didn’t even think about missing it (unless you count the agony of my mp3 player losing power on the second day). However, it would be nice if it would be possible to paus the Internets during weekends, getting up to speed is always a hassle when you’ve been offline for some days.

During this weekend I was at a birthdays party (3-in-1), and a concert. And on Wednesday I’ll go abroad on vacation for a week. But I’ll blog about that when I return. I started thinking of going away one and a half week ago so it was quite sudden (which suits me since I’m not too fond of planning).
